Designed specifically for non-accounting personnel, this course specifically focuses on what accountants do, how they do it and why they do what they do. This is not a sit and listen event! Expect an interactive course with hands-on exercises that will walk you through each step of the financial process. You will examine and engaged in practical examples and exercises that demonstrate the sources, uses, preparation and analyses of financial reports.
You will walk away from this course with a basic knowledge and understanding of the financial terminology used in accounting. Accounting is a language unto itself and, thankfully, non-financial personnel, and other employees with financial responsibility can learn to be conversant with the key terminology.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Understand why accountants do what they do
- Improve basic accounting knowledge
- Understand accounting terms and definitions
- Create basic financial statements and internal reports
- Analyze accounting processes
- Understand standards and principles
- Analyze risk management
Course Format:
Live, Online, Instructor-led training with a class that may include up to 30 students.
Two (2) morning sessions (3.5 hours each):
- Day 1: Tuesday, April 15: 8:30am-12:00pm
- Day 2: Wednesday, April 16: 8:30am-12:00pm
Attendance in both sessions is mandatory for course completion.
