SICA, BCCA and industry partners have signed onto a letter to the Honorable Anne Kang – Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Training, the Honorable Harry Bains – Minister of Labour and Mr. Andrew Mercier, MLA – Parliamentary Secretary for Skills Training asking for broader consultation with industry when discussing the restoration of compulsory trades in BC.
The Honourable Ann Kang, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Training has replied to the BC Construction Industries request for broader consultation with industry on Compulsory Trades.
More people will be able to access new and enhanced resources and programming to support entering the trades and to help complete their apprenticeships through a $5-million provincial investment.
