The British Columbia Construction Association, in collaboration with the Regional Construction Associations have organized a series of Zoom webinars during Financial Literacy Month in November.
Each one hour session is free, presented by a qualified CPA through the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, with topics specific to businesses and newcomers to Canada, and general sessions appropriate for anyone, and includes 15 minutes of Q&A.
Topic: What You Need to Know About Tax - CPA Canada
- understand why there are taxes, how the Canadian tax system works, and how Canadians’ taxes are used
- learn what taxes need to be paid, and how to pay them
- learn how to reduce taxes, and how to gain benefits today and in the future
- learn how to file a tax return and what happens once you’ve filed
