Ready to step into the future of AI? Sign up today to gain an edge in your projects and see how AI can start working for you.

In the ever-evolving world of advancing technology, staying efficient, informed, and adaptable is essential. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is making its mark across industries, and trades and construction are no exception. In this introductory workshop, designed specifically for trades and construction professionals, we’ll dive into how AI—especially through tools like ChatGPT—can simplify your daily operations, improve productivity, and help you gain a competitive edge.

This 2 hour session is perfect whether you're completely new to AI or if you've already dabbled and want to enhance your skills. We focus on realistic ways ChatGPT can support your work, from organizing project information and managing communications, to creating training resources. You'll also learn how to get quick answers on technical questions specific to your field. You’ll gain foundational knowledge, dispel common AI myths, and see real-world applications that make tasks easier and faster—all in an easy, accessible introduction designed to get you comfortable with AI tools.

What Will You Learn?

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand AI basics and identify practical applications in daily construction tasks.
  • Recognize how ChatGPT can simplify routine tasks like scheduling, note-taking, or accessing quick technical information.
  • Feel comfortable using ChatGPT as a tool to boost productivity

Join Jennifer Hufnagel as she introduces you to the basics of AI, breaks down how ChatGPT can work for you in the trades, and shows you how adopting AI today can position you for success in an evolving industry.

Technology & Participation:

Please ensure you meet the following requirements:

  1. Optimal Setup: For the best experience, please join from your computer, with both a microphone and camera, and have your mobile device on hand—we’ll be using features on both devices. Using only an iPad isn’t ideal.
  2. Access Requirements: Please sign up for ChatGPT (a free account is sufficient) either through the app or on the website https://chatgpt.com/.
  3. ChatGPT Usage: If you use up your tokens prior to course, you will have to default to regular free (no account) GPT which is limited. So if you can, be mindful of usage in prep for the training
  4. ChatGPT Plus: You don’t need a plus account, but you could always sign up for a month to test it out, then cancel
  5. Download ChatGPT to your mobile device: make sure you download the correct version (you do not need your credit card or to sign up to a paid account). Download the ChatGPT App to your cell phone/ipad (make sure it's the logo that's WHITE with 1.2+ users)
