SICA announces 2019 Industry Awards of Excellence Finalists

Kelowna, BC – The Southern Interior Construction Association (SICA) has announced the finalists for their 2019 Industry Awards of Excellence. Recognizing construction projects and industry leadership, we are pleased to be able to award the efforts of our industry.

For the inaugural year, 32 finalists have been selected in the Building Awards and Leadership Award categories. Finalists will be honoured at the Awards Dinner on October 3rd in Kelowna, one winner from each category will be announced as the winner in the respective category. 

"The nominations we received represented a construction value of over $106 million. This is a testament to the impact construction has on our local economies,” says Jason Henderson, SICA CEO.  

In addition to the 7 Building Award categories, SICA will present Leadership Awards to member companies who’ve demonstrated their commitment to being leaders in the construction industry with Education & Leadership Award, Innovation & Productivity Award, Safety Award and the SICA Member of the Year Award.

This fund is a tribute to the individuals who tragically lost their lives from the Brooklyn Site Incident on July 12th, 2021. The funds raised through this fund will go towards supporting future post-secondary education for the children of the victims in this tragedy.
