The Land Title and Survey Authority of BC (LTSA) has launched a new online Claim of Builders Lien application in BC. This new online filing allows applicants to pre-populate key information, such as the legal description, and copy address information when filling out a form 5. Once the applicant completes the online form, a PDF form 5 is generated which can be submitted to LTSA online, by mail or in person. The new online filing process can be used in place of filling out a paper or Word template form 5 found in the Builders Lien Act.
Applications submitted online during land title office front counter hours will be assigned a pending application number on the same day, and the pending application number is emailed to the applicant.
