Ajay Sharma, P.Eng
Ajay is GeoStabilization’s Project Development Engineer for Western Canada. After high school in south eastern BC, Ajay moved to Calgary, Alberta to start his post-secondary education at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Upon completion, Ajay worked in the construction sector as a draftsman and construction estimator before moving to the west coast of Canada to finish his Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering at the University of British Columbia. After completing his schooling, Ajay worked in Vancouver’s construction industry and was involved in the construction of venues for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Ajay then traveled overseas to Australia and the United Kingdom to gain international work and life experience as a Project Engineer.
Ajay has worked in the heavy civil construction industry for over 15 years. In that time, he has been involved in various ground engineering projects from design to construction to commissioning. Slope stability, both in shallow and deep-seated failures as well as erosional failures, are areas where Ajay has extensive knowledge. Ajay focuses on practical and constructible solutions to develop the best mitigation solutions possible.
